# About MapIron

MapIron is a map API built for sites that show places and keep addresses: listing sites, marketplaces and local services. It runs on our own servers using OpenStreetMap data, so we can offer flat prices, hard caps and the right to keep what you get.

## Who uses it

[Kulomo](https://kulomo.com), a listings site, runs its maps on MapIron tiles. If you run MapIron in production and are happy to be listed here, tell us.

## How it's run

- Servers in New York (DigitalOcean), behind Cloudflare.
- Map data from OpenStreetMap, current build from Nov 4, 2026.
- API usage counted in our own database. The public website uses Google Analytics, which you can [turn off](https://mapiron.com/privacy-choices).
