# Maps for platforms that can't afford surprises

MapIron Enterprise is the same static maps, geocoding, tiles and privacy-area API, with a hard monthly cap sized to your volume, an annual contract paid on invoice, and the right to keep every image and geocode you paid for.

- No overage bills, ever: the cap is the most you can be charged
- Store images and geocodes indefinitely, even after the contract ends
- One contract for maps, geocoding and licensed boundary data

## What Enterprise includes

### A cap sized to your volume

Pick monthly limits for images, address lookups and tiles. The API stops at the cap instead of billing more, and sales raises it when you ask. Top-up packs cover a busy month.

### Paperwork finance accepts

Annual contracts, invoices on net-30 terms, payment by ACH, wire or card, your PO number on every invoice, and a W-9 on request.

### A key for every client site

Create, rotate and revoke domain-locked keys through the [Keys API](https://mapiron.com/docs/keys-api), cap each one, and get signed usage webhooks. Rotation keeps the old key working for up to 24 hours.

### Uptime you can hold us to

The Business plan has a 99.5% monthly target: 10% credit below it, 50% below 99%. Enterprise contracts can commit to more. Live and 90-day history on the [status page](https://mapiron.com/status).

### Boundary data you can license

[School districts and attendance zones](https://mapiron.com/data/school-attendance-zones) across the US, and [Texas MUD, WCID and PID](https://mapiron.com/texas-districts) boundaries with tax rates, delivered as files or through the API.

### Maps for AI agents

An [MCP server](https://mapiron.com/docs/mcp) listed in the official MCP Registry, so assistants and agents can geocode and draw maps on your contract's key and caps.

## How buying works

1. **Tell us your volumes.** Use the form or email sales@mapiron.com.
1. **Get a quote by email**, usually within one business day, with caps, price and terms.
1. **Try it on real traffic** with a free key, or a 60-day pilot for platforms.
1. **Sign an annual order** and pay on invoice. Your existing keys keep working.

## Security and reliability

Keys are stored only as hashes, sign-in supports passkeys, every connection is encrypted, and backups are restored and checked every week. The [security page](https://mapiron.com/security) lists the controls, where data is hosted and who processes it.

## Questions

**Do caps still apply on Enterprise?**

Yes. Every plan has a hard monthly cap, so the most you can be charged is the contract price. When you need more, sales raises the cap; nothing is billed automatically.

**Is MapIron SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certified?**

No, not today. The [security page](https://mapiron.com/security) describes the controls in place. Send your security questionnaire to sales@mapiron.com and we'll answer it.

**Will you sign our DPA or vendor agreement?**

Send it with your enquiry and we'll tell you what we can sign before you commit to anything.

**Where is data hosted?**

In the United States: the API and its database run in DigitalOcean's New York region, and map tiles are cached at Cloudflare's edge. The [security page](https://mapiron.com/security#processors) lists every service provider.

**What happens to stored data if we cancel?**

Images and geocodes you stored while on a paid plan stay yours to keep using. Cancelling only stops new requests.

**Can we start before the contract is signed?**

Yes. A free key works right away, and platforms can run a free 60-day pilot.
